Standing Committee Membership (sto_komitemedlemskap)

Table of the parliamentary representatives' committee membership. Duplicates have been reduced, but unfortunately cannot be avoided as the information comes from several older database tables:

1. sto_KomiteMedlemskap$ – deals with Storting politicians who have been elected since 1945 and is taken from data.stortinget.no. This is probably the most important source and the only one that is being updated.
2. B1905_Komite_per_sesjon - data from 1874 to 1949
3. Pol_Storting – data from 1815 to 1915
4. komite_medlemmer – data from 1945 to 2017

The term committee has been expanded beyond the narrow meaning of parliamentary committee. This also includes members of delegations, representatives with positions in party groups, as well as other councils and committees. See the table i_komitetype for a complete list.

In older tables, the government was also included among committees. This was a duplicate of the dedicated government tables and has now been removed.

Personal identification number (person)

Main index. Continuous internal identifier from the table i_politikere. Is mandatory and unique. Example: Tina Bru is 31610.

Period (period)

The Storting's consecutive numbering of parliamentary periods, where the number is set equal to the number of the period's first session. Corresponding annual figures can be found in the table i_stortingsperioder. Note that the National Assembly 1814 has the number 0, and the subsequent Extraordinary General Assembly 1814 has the number -1. Example: Period number 166 indicates the period 2021-2025.

Committee (komitekode)

Consecutive numeric identifier. Is mandatory and unique. Example: The Standing Committee on Energy and the Environment is 180.

Rolle (rolle)

Representantens rolle i komiteen. Eksempel: ‘Første nestleder’.

Fra dato (fra_dato)

Date when committee membership took effect.

Fra år (fra_år)

Year when committee membership took effect. Useful when the exact date is unknown.

Til dato (til_dato)

Date when committee membership ended.

Til år (til_år)

Year when committee membership ended. Useful when the exact date is unknown.
