Election List Archive

The Election List Archive was established as part of Sikt’s School Election Project. By collecting and organizing party election lists, it becomes possible to see which candidates, based on results, would win seats in the Norwegian Parliament, the Sami Parliament, or the county councils.

We also ensure the quality of party press releases by:

• Adding missing details such as date and sender (especially for electronic press releases received by email).
• Removing private contact information, such as phone numbers and email addresses, to protect privacy.

Sources

• For parliamentary and county elections, Sikt usually receives elections lists from local election boards.
• For Sami elections, the lists were collected in 2009-2011 as part of the Historical Election Data Project, under the Sami Election Research Program.
• Today, lists are retrieved and adapted directly from valg.no and sametinget.no.
